Carlo Borlenghi was born in Bellano on Lake Como where he began his career as a photographer following the local regattas.
Thanks to his passion for the sea and to the collaboration with the magazine “Uomo Mare Vogue” he started travelling around the world at a young age, following the most important international nautical events. Aged only 27, in 1983 he follows Azzurra’s challenge: it was the first Italian boat to take part in the America’s Cup in Newport R.I. (USA).
Ever since, he has been the official photographer for many editions of the America’s Cup. He is official photographer for the Rolex sailing events. Since 1994 he follows the boats, the round the worlds and challenges of Giovanni Soldini.
Enthusiasm and passion are at the basis of his professional philosophy. Open to innovation and always willing to try new adventures, he is flanked by a team of young and motivated collaborators together with whom he ceaslessly updates following the latest trends in photography and technology.
